ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to examine the effect of covid 19 on the construction sector in Lagos state. Specifically, the study examined effect of covid-19 lockdown on construction sector in Nigeria, find out if the covid-19 lock down led to obstruction of work of construction sectors. The study also examine if construction sectors had access to raw materials for construction. The study also examine if there was reduction in revenue generation of construction sectors due to the covid-19 lock down. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 50 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that the covid-19 lock lead to obstruction of work of construction sectors, construction sectors had access to raw materials for construction during the covid-19 lockdown, there a reduction in revenue generation of construction sectors due to the covid-19 lock down.The study therefore recommended that construction sector should keep to the rules of covid 19 precaution tips, Government can assist construction sector by making sure raw materials are made available and financial assistance is given to them, Due to the effect of covid 19 government should make available soft loan to the construction sector.
